Terzetto is an Italian word for Opera Aria with three voices. This is a fitting name for a winery operated by a triumvirate of gentlemen producing artisanal wines made from Italian Grape Varietals in the Central Coast region of California. The partnership consists of Winemaker Jim Clendenen of Au Bon Climat, justly renowned as a pioneering leader in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Santa Barbara area, Scott Wilson, Hornist and Administrator with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Peter Warrian, Professor of Economics at the University of Toronto.
Currently Terzetto makes three different wines, since apparently all good things come in threes. The wines are made in the Au Bon Climat facility in Santa Maria, California, from grapes purchased from three independent growers in the Central Coast. Our goal is to make wines of great character and rich flavour with enough structure to compliment a large variety of foods at table.
