"Shows plum, sweet herb and hints of vanilla on the nose, turning to flowers and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, with fine tannins, fresh acidity and a fruity finish. A subtle wine. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Best after 2012.."

Wine Spectator, James Suckling, Web Issue 2009

Technical Notes:

Alcohol Content: 14.5%

Barrel-aging: 14 months French oak barriques

Winemaker’s Notes:

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc.

The different grape varieties were vinified seperately in temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks before being transferred to French oak barriques where malo-lactic fermentation was completed. After blending the wine underwent at least a further 12 months of bottle fining before being released on the market.

Tasting Notes:

Colour: Vivid ruby red colour with purple reflections.

Aromas: Expressive aromas of liquorice, cassis and floral hints.

Flavours: A generous and deep wine, rich with tannins. Full bodied and pleasant taste on the palate with an appropriate acidity and a fresh and minerally finish showing considerable persistence.
