Gord Stimmell / Wine critic / review for The star
One sniff and you detect the richness awaiting you. Lavish violets, blackberry and cedar aromas have a slight complex undertone of smoked meats. The flavours unfold with the lushness of sweet ripened fruit, marked by big black cherry, vanilla bean and mahogany notes from the oak. This is very long, and layered with nuance.
Food suggestion: Prime rib roast

Barrel-aging: Some savory American oak.
Winemaker: John Davey
Winemaker’s Notes:
The closure is the innovative, fun and contemporary Zork. It seals like a screw cap and pops like a cork. Zork allows for easy resealing of the wine. It is recyclable and environmentally friendly.
Don't forget that the Red Knot is also available from your friendly neighbourhood LCBO.
Colour: Deep red with youthful purple tints.
Aromas: Powerful ripe strawberry and blackberry aromas and added complexity with hints of spice, chocolate and savory American oak.
Flavours: The sweet strawberry mid palate is balanced with fresh acidity and lingering richly toasted oak. A full bodied wine with luscious fruit that is enticing in its youth, but will also reward 2-3 years in the cellar.
