Winemaker: Laurence Faller
Winemaker’s Notes:
Because of its steep slopes with a south exposure, Schlossberg needs a terrace culture. The quality of this very famous region was well known as early as the fifteenth century. It is the first Alsacian soil classified as a Grand Cru under the 1975 degree.
Schlossberg is an extraordinary soil for Riesling, it gives it very pure fruitiness, personality and remarkable finesse. The Cuvée Sainte Catherine grows in the lowest part, giving fuller and fleshier wines.
Colour: Lemon yellow and green tinge
Aromas: Apple and citrus fruit with mineral notes
Flavours: A fine and delicate fruitiness, they are racy, nervy, dry but at the same time they are mature and long on the palate.
