Who am I?

Logistics and Lifford TV hostess.

That thing I do (Occupation)

We are the coordinating team that ensures that stock maintenance, product ordering, and delivering flows smoothly like the Garonne into the Atlantic.

Fondest wine memory

If I could remember, I would be more than happy to share it with you… actually, my husband will be glad I remember this one.Sharing a beautiful bottle of Cakebread Cabernet on a late summers’ eve on our first anniversary. It was an ever evolving journey (the bottle and the first year).

Favourite wine region

As soon as I make it to Italy, I may revise my profile. But, for now, the region that introduced me to the world of wine was California's Central Coast and the vineyards surrounding Solvang, Los Olivos & Santa Barbera County. The beauty, the people and the tales they told, and of course, the wine, drew me in forever.

Favourite Lifford wine

Since Lifford doesn’t have a bad wine, this one is difficult. I love the Staete Landt Pinot Noir & Sauvignon Blanc, I love the Telmo Rodriquez wines, Cullen Chardonnay is pretty dreamy, Gigi Rosso Barolo Riserva speaks for itself, and my heart also lies with my first true love, Australian Shiraz, preferably Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale.

First job

Growing up on a farm, the first official job I was ever assigned, was making sure each horse got a handful of blue salt at each nights’ feeding. I think I was 3 or 4.

Indulgence

Fine wine, delectable cuisine and a little late night dancing.

Inspiration

Those who do good deeds and those living out their passions. Balance. Music, and of course, Valmai’s coffee in the morning.

What or where do I retreat to?

Walking with my headphones on is my favourite retreat and I usually find my feet take me to Kensington Market. When I have an extra 10 hours for the drive, the best retreat of all is our camp in Chapleau; pure serenity. After dark: The Underground.
